la cecchina, the music
francesca caccini (1587-1640), also called la cecchina, composed in florence at the beginning
of the 17th century. up to this day her work is practically unknown. the group la cecchina focused on works from her
primo libro delle musiche per una e due voci.a particular goal of this project was to show
the richness of the musical language of early italian baroque.
